Routine Visits

th map zone visits

Our vets all perform visits throughout Kent and East Sussex as shown by the coloured areas on our map. You can make an appointment for a specific day and time with a specific vet at the address or yard your horse is kept. Standard visit fees apply.

We try wherever possible to accommodate requests for the same vet to visit you when dealing with your horse as we understand the importance of continuity of care but there are occasions on which they may be away or fully booked in which case one of our other vets will attend. All of our vets will have full access to your horse’s treatment records to ensure continuity and we endeavour to discuss cases when they are transferred between vets.

The practice offers first opinion and emergency treatment including X-ray, ultrasound and endoscopy at your premises. The following services are provided:

We ask that clients give as much notice as possible when requesting a visit to help us group calls by area.

Zone Visits

In addition to our usual visits we also offer a reduced price Zone Visit scheme. This scheme enables pre -booked routine work to be performed at a discounted visit rate of just £10 including VAT.

They are restricted to a particular day of the week depending on the area and the initial examination is allocated 15 minutes. Further examinations may be required which may not qualify for another Zone Visit. You are unable to request an exact time or specific vet but your visit will always be from one of our team of dedicated equine vets.

We are now covering the Isle of Sheppey. This area’s dedicated zone visit day will be a Friday. Please call us for more information and to arrange your visit.

Emergency Visits

Colic 300x214Emergencies will always take priority over any non-emergency call and we always have vets available in order to respond quickly without too much disruption to existing calls. A standard visit fee is applied to emergency visits during normal office hours. Out of office hours a standard surcharge is applied to all visits.

During normal office hours an equine receptionist is always available to help you and arrange for a veterinary surgeon to visit. Outside of working hours we provide an emergency service 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Please call your normal surgery number and your call will be answered by our out of hours emergency team who will listen carefully and take your details; our duty vet will then call you back.

Please do call the vet if you are concerned in any way about your horse. We are always more than happy to discuss your horse’s condition over the telephone and to assist you in deciding whether or not your horse requires a visit. Your call, no matter how trivial you think it may seem is welcomed.

It is prudent to keep our details on your phone and at the stables to save time in an emergency situation. If your horse is at livery we recommend making sure the livery yard manager has our details just in case.
